Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort is said to have become the first hotel in the country to accept cryptocurrency as a means of payment.
According to arabianbusiness, Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort has partnered with Eazy Financial Services to allow guests to pay their accommodation bills with cryptocurrency. Additionally, the hotel will place specially designed terminals at its stores to activate the service through the Binance app.
Other hotels located on the Arabian peninsula that have used crypto in the past few months include W Dubai – The Palm and Palazzo Versace Dubai.
The Central Bank of Bahrain approved the move, making Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort the first hotel in the country to have the option of paying with cryptocurrency.
General Manager Amid Yazji commented: “Keeping up with the evolution of technology and always looking to provide our valued guests with the highest level of service, we are delighted to announce that we are guests. The first hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region to use the latest digital payment methods”.
Recently, many popular resorts accept bitcoin, such as Pavilions Hotels & Resorts which has partnered with cryptocurrency trading platform Coindirect to allow customers to book through 40 different digital assets (including 40 different digital assets). including BTC and ETH).
