Chinese tech giant Tencent Cloud has announced a series of strategic partnerships with big names in the crypto industry — including Ankr, Avalanche, Scroll, and Sui — to support the development of the Web3 ecosystem.

Yang Baoshu, senior vice president of Tencent Cloud International, said that the company is eager to join the new cycle of the Internet and introduce the concept of “immersive integration”, that is, the platform real economy and the integrated digital economy.

The latest plans were announced at Tencent Cloud Web3 Build Day in Singapore, where Tencent Cloud signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with infrastructure provider Web3 Ankr. The two platforms will jointly develop a full set of blockchain API services to provide Web3 builders with a globally distributed and decentralized RPC node network.

At the same time, the company also signed a partnership with smart contract platform Avalanche, a zk-Rollup generator fully compatible with Scroll’s open source EVM, and the Layer 1 Sui blockchain.

At the same time, Tencent also launched Cloud Metaverse-in-a-Box, which aims to provide enterprises with fast, secure and flexible Metaverse application development. . This is expected to accelerate the journey of enterprise and public sector customers closer to the Metaverse.

In addition to its Web3 goals, Tencent also revealed the future of its Metaverse strategy, which focuses on providing customers with “Metaverse in a box” services through its cloud division. The move is in addition to the media service the company launched last year to facilitate its mission to develop virtual worlds for Tencent clients.

The tools launched by Tencent will be used by companies in the gaming, media, entertainment and retail industries to build and design virtual spaces for various purposes.
