March 2023 will have many important events taking place in the cryptocurrency market. In order not to miss any hot “bets”, let’s take a look at these events with Kyptos in the article below!

March 10: Mt. Gox (probably) starts paying BTC
March 10, 2023 marks the first day of the Mt. Gox began paying off its creditors, after years of lengthy litigation. It is not clear the exact amount of BTC that will be “unlocked” this time. But it is possible to know the “hard cap” number of 142,000 BTC that the trustee of Mt. Gox currently holding will be “unvalved” gradually.

US CPI in February
The announcements of the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) are times when the market “holds its breath”.
Bitcoin and Altcoin prices continuously fluctuate in a short time frame around the time of CPI announcement, which is an indispensable “specialty” of the crypto market.
Ethereum testing Shanghai on the Goerli . testnet
Ethereum developers have chosen March 14 as the scheduled time to launch the Shanghai hard fork on the Goerli testnet – the final “rehearsal” for this much-anticipated ETH staking unlocking upgrade.
If all goes well, Shanghai will be on the Ethereum mainnet in mid-April.
Iron Fish mainnet
Like Kyptos reported, Iron Fish, a privacy-focused blockchain platform, announced the mainnet launch on March 14, 2023 after 2 years of development.
At the time of launch, users can start running nodes, mine IRON coins, issue assets and trade coins on Iron Fish.
In addition, the project will conduct an airdrop of 940,000 IRON to testnet participants, with an allocation period from mid-March to early April.
Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM) mainnet
One of the project’s most important updates is the Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM) which will officially launch on March 14.
Did you hear? The #Filecoin EVM (FEVM) launch is closer than you think
After the completion of the calibrationnet upgrade earlier today, FEVM is on track to bring smart contracts & user programmability to Filecoin mainnet on March 14th, 2023! 📅

FVM can be compatible with Ethereum virtual machine (EVM), helping Filecoin to form cross-chain bridges between chains dynamically. Many developers and users believe that compatibility with EVM and layer-2 blockchains will help the network reduce gas fees and increase transaction speed.
The addition of FVM to Filecoin will bring the network into a full-fledged layer-1 blockchain.
Stargate snapshot for token re-issuance
Stargate Finance is a cross-chain protocol bridge protocol developed on the LayerZero platform. In March 2022, the project made a splash when it opened to sell STG tokens to the community.
However, what is surprising is that the sale ended quickly, with the fact that the Alameda Research fund bought all 100 million tokens (10% of the total STG supply) for the sale.
With the collapse of the FTX/Alameda Research empire, Stargate made the decision to reissue the entire STG, replace the old smart contract with a new smart contract, and airdrop the new token 1:1 to holders. Current STG.
The time of STG snapshot for airdrop is on March 15, 2023.

Polygon deploys zkEVM
zkEVM is a layer-2 solution for Ethereum, evolving towards zk-Rollups and using secure zero-knowledge proofs to verify data and improve privacy.
zkEVM was first announced by Polygon in July 2022 and has grown since then, with over 5,000 smart contracts deployed and 75,000 zk proofs generated.
As the name suggests, zkEVM will be compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) from the start, allowing Ethereum projects to easily link and deploy their products on it.

Helium turns to Solana
After receiving strong support from the community, Helium passed the important proposal of “migrating” to the Solana blockchain, with the exact date of March 27, 2023. The integration is expected to take 24 hours.
The integration into Solana will bring speed, scalability, wallet compatibility and is an ideal ecosystem for Helium to make its development possible.
EOS EVM testnet, mainnet April 15
One more EVM development project is EOS. Developers have been working on EVM for years and are coming to the end. EOS will test EVM on March 27 and if successful will go to mainnet on April 15.
Mark Your Calendar#EOS EVM is set to launch on April 14th! 🚀
This project has been a massive undertaking for developers & contributors across the $EOS ecosystem and it’s exciting to be in the final stretch.

March 28: ConsenSys zkEVM testnet
ConsenSys, the parent company of the MetaMask wallet application, has completed the private beta for zkEVM and has set a date for the public testnet rollout on March 28.
zkEVM is highly expected to set a new era for the Ethereum ecosystem, so the parties are actively researching and testing it.
March: Unlocked altcoins
Altcoins with a token unlock schedule in March include STEPN, Acala, 1inch, Galxe, BitDAO, ApeCoin and a few others.
March or wait: Arbitrum token, crvUSD, GOLD
Arbitrum token, Curve stablecoin crvUSD, AAVE stablecoin GHO coming soon.
Late March or early April
Optimism upgrade to Bedrock
Optimism understands quickly as a scalable solution (scaling) but still ensures the security (security) for Ethereum. In addition, this protocol will help reduce transaction fees and at the same time have smooth compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
The upcoming “Bedrock” upgrade is expected to help Optimism bring a competitive edge over its main rival, Arbitrum. Specifically, Bedrock will help improve:
- Reduce the transfer time from Ethereum to Optimism by 4 times;
- Reduce the cost of transferring data to Ethereum by 20%;
- Reducing the difference with Ethereum’s Geth client to 500 lines of command, making the two more synchronized;
- Apply EIP-1559 mechanism like Ethereum to update transaction gas fees;
- Clearing the way for other proof-of-data solutions like ZK-Rollups.
Bedrock was originally scheduled to take place on March 15, however the developers later announced a delay until after the date. 04/05 due to detecting some errors in the system.
Update for the Collective: We have rescheduled the Bedrock upgrade vote to Cycle 11 (March 2 – April 5) to resolve bugs uncovered by vigilant community members as part of the Bedrock bug bounty contest.

Rocket Pool’s Shanghai Compatible Atlas Upgrade
Ahead of Ethereum’s Shanghai hard fork with the important update of unlocking staking ETH, liquid staking platforms are also upgrading to be compatible with Shanghai.
Rocket Pool’s upgrade called Atlas will take place around the beginning of April, cutting the staking requirement for nodes/validators to just 8 ETH.
The countdown to Atlas is on!
Our biggest upgrade yet will cut node operator ETH requirement to just 8. Rocket Pool will deliver the highest ETH rewards to node operators. Audits are now complete, so read on to find out more about Atlashttps://t.co/pWNaCus1pt
