The testing process will take place within 3 months, only supporting Spotify Android users in the US, UK, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. Currently, NFT-owned members of communities such as Fluf, Moonbirds, Kingship, and Overlord will have access to “NFT playlists” managed by the projects themselves.

Responding to the media about this test, a Spotify representative said:

“Spotify regularly conducts several tests to improve the user experience. Some of it will pave the way for new and broader experiences.”

In addition, the popular music streaming platform did not share more details about its plans to roll out the feature widely in the future.

Spotify has more than 489 million users. In the past, they also had efforts testing NFT integration into the platform. In May 2022, Spotify allowed a select group of artists, including Steve Aoki and The Wombats, to advertise NFT on its profile.
