Solana Officially Launches Web3 Saga Mobile Public Sale

Solana Labs has taken a big step into the mobile market by publicly selling its flagship Android phone, the Saga. Designed to be more than just a phone, the mobile device offers an intuitive and secure web3 experience with a range of innovative features that differentiate it in the market.

One of the standout features of Saga is the Seed Vault, a secure self-hosted solution that uses encryption and biometric authentication to protect users’ keys. With this feature, Saga users can access decentralized applications without having to interact and sign transactions through a desktop web browser. The Solana dApp Store is also integrated into Saga, allowing users to browse and use decentralized applications from their mobile devices.

The Saga Phone also comes with a single device-bound non-transferable NFT, the Saga Native Token, which is the key to Saga Rewards. This allows users to unlock exclusive content and offers from dApps listed on Solana Mobile and the Solana dApp Store.

The phone has been well-received by early adopters, with many praising its sleek design, intuitive interface, and deep integration with Solana. The company has started shipping pre-orders for the device to the US, Canada, EU, UK, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand.

In a statement, the team behind Saga stated that they want to create a great welcoming experience for Saga users, allowing them to immediately explore web3, and the Saga native token is an important part of this. They added that they are expanding rapidly and will add more markets soon.
