One of the top meme coins — Shiba Inu (SHIB ) — has seen its price drop over the past 24 hours. At the time of writing, it was down about 7%.

This happens when news emerges that the Shiba Inu blockchain, Shibarium, has the same chain ID as another network.
The allegation was made by Shiba Inu development team member Steve on the project’s official Discord channel. He noticed that Shibarium’s testnet has the same chain ID as Rinia’s testnet.
“Because using existing IDs will cause your chain to not work properly, and people trying to interact with your chain will interact with other chains.
It looks like Shibarium’s testnet uses the rinia testnet genesis file. Renamed from rinia. But forgot to change the link ID”.
Steve thinks Shibarium took Rinia’s testnet genesis file and forgot to change the chain ID. Rinia has been active and owns the chain ID since February. Steve also expressed suspicion that Shibarium may have obtained the Chain ID from Rinia’s testnet without the knowledge of Rinia’s developers. The beta version was launched earlier this month.
Manipulation and Lack of Transparency
In addition to allegations of human cloning, there has also been unrest in the Shiba community about the transparency of the development team.
Trophias, a member of the Shibarium metaverse team, claimed they knew nothing about the development. Trophias said they were fired by Shibarium lead developer Shutoshi Kusama, but were told by another team member that they had not been fired.
Trophias claims that Shytoshi manipulated the entire team and refuses to contact them. Shytoshi, on the other hand, denied that he fired the metaverse team and stated that they had no prior knowledge of the Shiboshis bar appearing on the Shibarium website.
Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya announced that they will be redeploying a new version of the test network with a new chain ID, a process that will take about five days and documentation. They explained that some chain IDs were chosen randomly for network deployment and were not registered anywhere at the time.
Lucie Sasinkova, a well-known member of the community who goes by the name @LucieSHIB, pointed out that some people on Discord are coordinating an attack on the coin that could damage its value and reputation.
