Safe introduces Core Stack toolset with help from Stripe and Gelato

Safe, an infrastructure provider for the personal custody service Gnosis Safe, has introduced the Core open source toolkit. Accordingly, Core Stack will support simpler Account Abstraction integration when developers build smart contracts on Ethereum.

Following the trend of developing smart contract wallets, Safe will separate Externally Owned Accounts (EOAs) from the scope of normal user wallets. Instead, these smart contract wallets will be diversely managed with multiple signatures and can easily be retrieved when necessary to minimize unnecessary losses.

Safe Core will include payment solutions from Stripe and decentralized finance protocol Gelato.

Safe co-founder Richard Meissner believes that Account Abstraction is an extremely important component to help attract more users to the Web3 market. Interested readers can learn about the concept of Account Abstraction in the article below.

Mr. Meissner also thinks that Safe Core will continue to attract more developers on Ethereum and contribute to the development of the Web3 ecosystem:

“With Core, we will set up different toolkits (modules) for developers, helping them to make the most of this great opportunity. We’ve also partnered with the best businesses to improve user experience for on-ramps transactions, validation, and Relaying layers in Safe Core’s toolkit.”

The Safe team said it will launch a month-long hackathon called “March for Account Abstraction” to encourage developers to participate in using Safe Core. The event is also supported by many notable organizations such as Stripe, Base, Gelato, Web3Auth, Gnosis Chain, Cowswap and Superfluid.

At the time of writing, Safe’s smart contract (AA) wallet infrastructure is depositing $40 billion in assets across various DeFi applications.
