According to data from polygon scanLayer 2 scaling platform Polygon has not created new blocks or processed transactions for a while, leading some to think that the blockchain network may be shutting down.

Polygon cannot be updated

The last block and transaction on the Polygon blockchain was processed around 3:35am on February 23.

Later, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwail corrected on Twitter that there was a problem with Polygonscan, not Polygon. The System Status page shows that the Polygon network is still up.

Polygonscan is an activity tracker on the Polygon blockchain. During the Polygonscan outage, Nailwail advised users to use OKLink to check transactions.

Polygon has been shut down in the past, most recently on March 21-22, 2022, due to maintenance on one of the network’s three layers.
