Polygon is currently the second largest gaming blockchain behind Boomland’s Hunters On-Chain, which launched on testnet last month. The action role-playing game has become one of the top 5 blockchain games in terms of on-chain decentralized application (DApp) activity.
“Polygon, a blockchain formerly known for its DeFi DApps, surpassed Hive this month to take second place. This is a positive sign for Polygon, as it is now recognized as a gaming blockchain.”
Wax Blockchain (WAXP) maintained its position as the leading gaming blockchain, with dUAW outperforming Polygon by over 228%.
“Wax emerged as the most active gaming blockchain with an average of 314,976 daily active wallets in March. This represents a drop of 8.11% month-on-month. The data also shows that Alien World dominates Wax business by 66%.”
Despite the slowdown in on-chain gaming last month, gaming still accounts for a large portion of DApp activity, according to DappRadar.
“On-chain gaming activity fell 3.33% in March to 741,567 unique daily active wallets; however, gaming still accounted for 45.6% of DApp industry activity in Q1 2023.”
