Moonbirds cancels NFT event because community “ignored”

The “PROOF of Conference” conference of the NFT Moonbirds project community is scheduled for May this year, lasts 3 days in Los Angeles (USA), with the participation of many famous leaders in Web3. However, according to the announcement on February 21, the event was canceled because it did not receive as much attention as expected.

Kevin Rose, who organized the conference, said in a post apologizing to those who bought tickets:

“After several weeks of collecting ticket sales data, discussions with sponsors, and feedback from community members, it is clear that there is currently less interest than expected for an event like this one. like this.”

Rose explained that he and his event team have been working to find alternatives, such as choosing a smaller venue, reducing the event size and reducing ticket prices. However, Rose emphasizes, “in the world of NFTs, timing is everything,” alluding to the general downturn that has made the NFT’s attraction less attractive as well.

Rose said the project has refunded the full amount, including ticket fees, hotel bookings, and transaction fees, to the wallets of the participants.

Talking about the future ahead, Rose said he will focus on delivering innovative products and artwork to the Moonbirds and PROOF communities.

Out of a total of 1000 PROOF NFT minted, about 928 were sold with a floor price of 14.65 ETH. As of press time, the collection has raised around 25,675 ETH in trading volume, according to data from OpenSea.
