On the evening of February 17, MetaMask confirmed that it has successfully integrated with the Mercuryo payment platform, allowing its customers to buy crypto directly with a bank card and other useful methods.

The complicated identity verification process on centralized exchanges is a barrier that makes many people struggle to convert between fiat and crypto for DeFi. This is also the motive for the cooperation agreement with Mercuryo today.

According to the announcement, MetaMask currently supports paying 18 cryptocurrencies by bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods. In addition, users can also find 20 fiat currencies, including USD, Euro, British Pound, Korean won and Nigerian Naira on the platform.

MetaMask Product Manager Lorenzo Santos said:

“The integration with Mercuryo simplifies the process of buying digital assets, up to 699 euros without complicated authentication.”

In a related development, MetaMask also just integration with Onramp.money, support to buy crypto in India. Three days ago, the popular crypto wallet application warned about a new form of scam via email to its customers.
