L1 Terra Classic team completes testnet upgrade to v2.0.0 to accelerate recovery plan

Recently, the Terra Classic blockchain took a major step forward when the network’s L1 Coordination Task Force (L1JTF) team successfully upgraded the testnet to version 2.0. This new upgrade is likely to drive up the price of LUNC as the growth of the network indicates the presence of an efficient team.

The project’s token, which has been gaining a lot of attention in the crypto community, is up more than 508.48% in value from its all-time low on May 13, 2022.

L1JTF upgrade testnet to v2.0.0

L1JTF’s testnet v2.0.0 upgrade with Cosmos SDK v0.45 is a major milestone for the project, introducing several new features that enhance functionality and security. The Terra Classic community also supports the Accelerated Project Recovery Program.

Notably, this will also speed up the transition of the Terra Classic mainnet upgrade to version 2.0. This information comes from Till, a freelance developer on the team.

He revealed that only the six verification nodes including StakeBin, Lunanauts, and Allnodes join forces to achieve the success of this upgrade. Some project enthusiasts, such as reXx, expressed concern about the number of validators participating in the development, emphasizing that the number should be as high as 30.

However, Professor Edward King is said to have assisted in the testing process. This is surprising since he left L1JTF to pursue his AI chain project.

After successfully upgrading the testnet, LuncBurnArmy, the project manager of the L1 team, submitted a proposal to upgrade the core Terra Classic mainnet to version 2.0.

Based on this proposal, the upgrade is scheduled to roll out on May 17th. Notably, it will introduce a transition to the Cosmos SDK v0.45.13 and Tendermint v34.24 upgrades. .

News of the upgrade has been enthusiastically supported by the LUNC community, with some investors expecting the project’s token to continue to appreciate in value.
