ConsenSys acquires blockchain data screening tool Hal

The February 21 announcement said that ConsenSys has successfully acquired Hal, a blockchain message initialization and data screening platform.

Under the agreement, 10 employees and more than 40 Hal’s APIs will go to ConsenSys’ Infura. Founder Infura EG Galano thinks this is the best time for the deal. Infura Web3 API providers can now integrate with Hal’s webhook or notification service.

Galano commented that:

“Users always want to be notified when something happens on the blockchain, instead of finding it themselves. This kind of functionality is really valuable to those interested in the operation of a particular NFT or DeFi protocol.”

This time last year, ConsenSys has acquired the Ethereum wallet MyCrypto to improve the security of MetaMask and enhance the user experience. On the product front, the company is still ensuring commendable update rates, for example the opening of the private testnet zkEVM on Ethereum.
