Bitcoin Whales Drop to Lowest Since 2019

The number of whales holding more than 1000 BTC has dropped to its lowest level since 2019.

The number of wallet addresses holding more than 1000 Bitcoins peaked in February 2021. Currently, however, the number of whale wallets is decreasing rapidly and has hit its lowest level since August 2019.

According to data from lookintobitcointhe number of whales holding more than 1000 BTC dropped to 2031 wallets on February 19, which is the lowest number recorded since August 2019.

The number of whales holding more than Bitcoin peaked in February 2021 with almost 2500 wallets holding over 1000 BTC but has been decreasing since then.

Since the beginning of 2023 until now, although the BTC price has had a strong recovery when it increased from ~17000 USD to 25250 USD, the number of whales holding more than 1000 BTC has not yet increased again.

While the number of whales holding more than 1000 BTC tends to decrease, the number of wallets holding 1 BTC, 10 BTC and 100 BTC tends to increase sharply, specifically the number of 1 BTC holdings at the present time is 980409 wallet address, 10 BTC is 155290 wallet address and 100 BTC is 16105.

At press time, BTC price is trading at $24939, up nearly 15% over the past 7 days.
