Amazon will launch the NFT platform on April 24 and start offering 15 collections

Amazon is preparing to sell NFTs on its website.

After months of development and some delays, the world’s leading e-commerce company has set a date of April 24 for the launch of its NFT platform and will begin offering the debut of around 15 collections on the same day.

The NFT collection will be available on Amazon.com and can be viewed by clicking on the “Amazon Digital Marketplace” tab — which has been delayed twice in recent weeks due to the FTX debacle. NFTs can only be purchased from Amazon accounts and credit cards.

NFT services through the Amazon platform allow those without access to cryptocurrency wallets, such as meta mask Buy NFTs.

Initially, this tab will only be available in the US, and will gradually expand to other parts of the world, including Europe.

Amazon’s NFT initiative will allow the company to focus on blockchain gaming, which will reward players with non-fungible tokens. Considering the number of global customers Amazon serves for it, it could have a huge impact by offering NFTs.

Amazon takes another step towards Web3 ecosystem with launch of NFT marketplace Other giants like Meta and Google.

Since last year, the company has shown growing interest in Web3 technologies by hiring new positions for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team.

As early as December 2022, Amazon also announced a new documentary “NFTMe”, thus introducing NFT into Artists, collectors and industry professionals from around the world share their NFT experiences.
